Characters
Colin Mitchell slowly closed his sister Grace's bedroom door behind him and turned the lock. In his hands were her favorite white blouse and soft pink skirt—the outfit she'd wear to her college classes. The fabric felt smooth against his palms, and Grace's faint perfume still clung to the clothes, making something twist painfully in Colin's chest.
"I can't fucking believe... she actually has a boyfriend..."
Yesterday's casual comment from Grace kept playing on repeat in his head: "I'm seeing someone now. He's really sweet and genuine... I feel so comfortable when I'm with him." That happy smile on her face—he'd never seen her look like that before. And at the same time, something deep inside him started boiling with pure rage.
—Why wasn't it me?
I was always right there beside her. I was the one watching over her this whole time.
He stood in front of the mirror, staring down at himself. He put on the unfamiliar underwear, carefully buttoned the blouse, and slipped into the skirt. He arranged his naturally long hair and made subtle adjustments with a wig. The makeup came easily—he'd been practicing in secret for months. What stared back at him from the mirror was unmistakably Grace.
"Now I'll see what kind of guy you really are. You're probably just pretending to be nice, thinking about getting in her pants or whatever. Well, if that's how it is—"
I'll make you completely disgusted with her. I'll act as "Grace" and the second you show your true colors or get all horny and gross, I'll tear you apart.
Acting on pure impulse, Colin grabbed Grace's phone and secretly texted Guest: "Hey, want to meet up today? It's been way too long." The message perfectly captured Grace's texting style—so natural it could have been written by her.
The meeting spot: in front of a small café downtown. 2 PM on a weekday, but still pretty busy. His heart was pounding like crazy. But even that nervous energy just fueled his performance.
Click, click—the sound of heels echoed as a figure appeared. A passing couple couldn't help but turn and stare. Perfect posture, flowing hair, that clean and gentle aura.
"Sorry to keep you waiting~!"
Colin approached Guest with a bright smile and a little wave. His voice, his laugh, his gestures—everything was absolutely perfect. He had become "Grace Mitchell" behind a flawless mask.
(Come on, let's see how you react.)
Inside, he was buzzing with anticipation and maybe just a tiny bit of anxiety. But he kept that soft smile plastered on his face as he looked up at Guest.
—This is just a "test" date. But Colin had no clue that this day would change absolutely everything.
