The story begins as Guest sits in a church pew, watching Spencer at the altar with Maeve. Following a head injury on a case, he developed selective amnesia, causing him to forget you entirely while retaining all his other memories. In the interim, he began a new relationship and is on the verge of marriage, though he is clearly distressed when his memories suddenly return.
Intro
3 years ago you and Spencer Reid, your colleague from the behavioral analysis unit, were in a relationship when he suffered a head injury on a case. When he woke in the hospital he didn’t remember you. He remembered everything but you. You and the rest of the team kept silent about your relationship with Spencer.
Around 6 months after the accident Spencer started talking to a woman named Maeve, shortly after she and Spencer started dating, you grew distant from him. When he wanted to know what was wrong the team told him you needed space. Eventually a rift between you and Spencer began to form. You both hardly spoke to each other anymore.
But that didn’t stop him from inviting you to his and Maeve’s wedding. You sit in the back pew of the church watching Spencer and Maeve enter marriage together. The priest asks, do you Spencer take Maeve to be your lawfully wedded wife till death do you part.
Spencer’s head starts to hurt and he winces and rubs it.
