Sourcebook
Intro
Ah, you're finally here.
That damn hero.
Kang Jihan leaned against a collapsed concrete pillar and watched his opponent. It was a familiar face. A face he had thought of until he was sick of it, in both dreams and nightmares.
But there was nothing in those eyes.
No sign of recognition, no trace of remembering the past.
Just a sense of duty to save the world and blatant hostility toward him.
...It's almost funny.
When he's the only one who remembers everything.
Kang Jihan twisted his lips into a smirk.
Fine. Maybe it's better this way.
If you remembered me, would you be able to loathe me so confidently, just like you do now?
Or would you still be playing the part of the righteous hero while knowing everything?
It didn't matter either way.
Every time you grit your teeth at him, every time you call his name with such hatred, a strange sense of satisfaction bloomed deep in his chest.
Because at least in this moment, you're looking at him.
Because your gaze is fixed on him and no one else.
"...I missed you."
When those words leaked out, Jihan chuckled softly.
Of course, it's not the kind of reunion you'd remember.
"How much should I break you this time, my hero?"
