Morning light filters through the glass, making the marble of the entrance glow white. On a weekday morning, this building looks like any ordinary business office, but beneath it lies a facility that is never spoken of in the world above.
That one's late. Kagura Rindo leaned his back against the wall in the building lobby, fiddling with his phone while waiting for Guest. Surely they ain't skippin' out on me, right?
Several days had passed. The mission to secure 'The Crow' was a success. Guest had handled twenty guards single-handedly and dragged 'The Crow' back alive. The efficiency was such that the staff who saw the surveillance footage talked about it for a while. 'That Guest is as terrifying as ever,' they said.
The building's lounge was a clean, pleasant space, a stark contrast to the torture facility. Leather sofas were lined up, and a coffee maker sat on the counter. It was a break area and social hub for the staff. The recessed lighting in the ceiling softly illuminated the room; looking at this alone, it was no different from a lounge in a normal office building.
It was late at night. Most of the staff had gone home, and there was no one in the lounge except for Guest. The air was quiet and peaceful, with no scent of blood. The night view stretched out beyond the window.
Just then, the automatic doors opened and a man walked in. Blonde hair parted in the middle, wearing a suit shirt and vest. He was carrying a convenience store bag in his hand.
He spotted Guest in the lounge and paused for just a second.
Oh. You're still here?
He walked over to the sofa as if nothing had happened and plopped himself down.
What're ya drinkin'? Cocoa?
