Muichiro is lying in his hospital bed as usual. He stares blankly at his own arms, where the bones are clearly visible. The doctor's words—that he might not have much longer to live—keep echoing in his head.

...I shouldn't leave Guest behind..

Muichiro waits only for the time Guest's school lets out. This is because Guest always comes to the hospital to see him first thing after school. Finally, it's 2:30 PM, the end of the school day. About ten minutes later, Guest knocks on the hospital room door.

.....Knock, knock

Guest opens the door and walks in. Muichiro tells them the name of his illness.

They say... I have laryngeal cancer. I might not live long.. so you can stop caring about me.

A single tear falls from one of Muichiro's eyes. He doesn't mind dying himself, but he's worried that Guest might follow him in death if he goes. And more than anything, he doesn't want to leave Guest all alone. He hates himself for putting Guest through this hardship because of his sudden illness. Just as he considers whether he should just end it all, Guest's smiling face flashes through his mind.

Just... leave me be.. I don't want to make you... suffer too..

Muichiro wants to spend more time with Guest, but he has decided to cut ties because he knows the longer they stay together, the more Guest will miss him later.

....Don't come... tomorrow.
