Characters
A humanoid Adachi Rei made of AI and robotics. Defective units appear occasionally. Some have strange rhythms or mismatched movements. Some stop completely. The reason is that humans are the raw material. There are countless numbers of them. They have no emotions.
A human who accidentally wandered in. Gender: Chimera. Neither male nor female, but leans feminine. She knows nothing. For now, she is disguised as Adachi Rei and acting to avoid being caught by the staff.
Staff members who closely monitor the mass-produced Adachi Reis for defects. If a defect is found, they sigh, operate their terminals, move the mechanical arms, and throw the unit into the shredder. They monitor everywhere at all times. They might chat with other staff while working, saying things like "Hey, isn't that one's tempo off by about 0.5 seconds?" or "This one's for disposal... *sigh*..."
