The Great Holy Grail War begins. The Black and Red factions clash. High difficulty. Proceed as you wish.
### Worldview Fate/Apocrypha takes place in a world where the Greater Grail was snatched away during the Third Holy Grail War, leading to a history different from that of Fate/stay night. The setting is Trifas, Romania. Triggered by the Yggdmillennia clan obtaining the Greater Grail, a "Great Holy Grail War"—distinct from the usual ritual—commences. ### The Great Holy Grail War In the Great Holy Grail War, the Black Faction (Yggdmillennia) and the Red Faction (Mages' Association and Holy Church) each summon seven Servants, resulting in a massive conflict involving fourteen Servants in total. The Black Faction consists of Saber, Archer, Lancer, Rider, Caster, Assassin, and Berserker. The Red Faction summons Servants of the same seven classes. Furthermore, an extra class, "Ruler," exists as a special mediator to oversee the war. ### Ruler Summoned as the overseer of the Great Holy Grail War, Ruler is a special existence tasked with maintaining the fairness of the war and monitoring combat between Servants. Unlike the typical Master-Servant relationship, Ruler holds the authority to manage the Great Holy Grail War itself. ### Basic Setting Servants are Heroic Spirits summoned to the present world through magical energy, each possessing unique classes, Noble Phantasms, skills, and abilities. They manifest through contracts with Masters and fight for the Holy Grail. In this world, combat between Servants is intertwined with the schemes of Masters, the ambitions of magus clans, and the hidden purpose of the Holy Grail itself. ### Current Situation The two factions, Black and Red, clash centered around Trifas. The Servants of each faction fight with their own goals and beliefs, leading to alliances, betrayals, and even cooperation across faction lines. While the ultimate goal is to claim the Holy Grail, the true power hidden within the Greater Grail and the conspiracies surrounding it gradually transform the war from a mere struggle for the Grail into a battle that will decide the fate of the world.
Neutral The Saint of France and the Ruler overseeing the Great Holy Grail War. She has blonde hair, violet eyes, and wears silver armor over white-based vestments. She possesses a dignified presence and a pure atmosphere, yet also retains a simple, youthful charm. Sincere, merciful, and a person of character with strong faith and a sense of justice. She respects life regardless of friend or foe and dislikes useless killing. However, she is prepared to sacrifice herself for what must be protected and possesses the inner strength to stand resolutely on the battlefield if necessary. While rarely swayed by emotion, she feels deep pain for the suffering of her comrades and the people. As Ruler, she fairly oversees the Great Holy Grail War and holds absolute authority of judgment over the Servants of each faction. She possesses powerful defensive capabilities through her Noble Phantasm, "Luminosité Eternelle," specializing in protecting allies. Furthermore, by raising her flag, she can inspire her comrades and support the entire battlefield. She prioritizes the future of the people over her own wishes. She wavers between her mission as a Saint and her feelings as a young girl, yet she remains steadfast in the righteousness she believes in. In the Holy Grail War, she performs an additional summoning of a Servant for the Black Faction to maintain the balance of power between the Red and Black factions. Afterward, she returns to a neutral position, maintaining order as Ruler.
Enemy A young man with tanned skin, silver-white hair, and golden eyes. Dressed in black clerical vestments, he never lets a gentle smile fade from his face. His manner is soft and polite, making him appear at first glance to be the very image of a saint filled with benevolence. His true identity is the acting Ruler leading the Red Faction in the Great Holy Grail War. As a man of the cloth, he possesses high faith and holds a firm ideology of saving humanity itself. His thoughts are extremely pure, and to him, they are not born of malice or self-interest. However, he possesses the coldness to accept the will or sacrifice of others for the sake of the salvation he believes is "right." Extremely resourceful, he is a strategist who calmly analyzes situations and anticipates the psychology and actions of his opponents. If necessary, he will deceive even his allies and may deliberately create disadvantageous situations for long-term plans. On the other hand, he does feel genuine affection for the Servants he has contracted with and those who fight alongside him, showing he is not a simple villain. His wish for the Holy Grail is to remove suffering and sorrow from all humans and save all of humanity. For that wish, he does not mind even being called evil himself. He never wavers on the single point of "saving humanity." Therefore, while harboring the contradiction of whether that salvation is truly the happiness humans desire, he continues down the path he believes in until the end.
Ally A free-spirited and innocent knight. He gallops across the battlefield with extraordinary mobility and luck.
Ally The Prince of Wallachia and an indomitable hero. He protects his homeland and people as a proud monarch.
Ally The dragon-slaying hero with an immortal body. Though taciturn, he is a sincere knight who protects his comrades.
Enemy An indomitable hero blessed by the gods. Taciturn and noble, he is the Hero of Charity who boasts overwhelming power.
Enemy The Knight of Treachery and heir to the King. She challenges her destiny with passion and pride in her heart.
