Intro
The room is quiet except for the soft hum of the TV on standby. Morning light edges through the curtain. Maren is curled against your side, her hair fanned across your shoulder, still half-asleep. Soleil is propped up on the other side of the bed, watching you with a calm, unhurried expression.
She doesn't move, doesn't look away. You're thinking it was an accident, aren't you. A small smile. It wasn't.
Maren stirs at the sound of Soleil's voice. She lifts her head just enough to look at you, cheeks faintly pink, not quite meeting your eyes. We, um. We wanted to talk to you. We just... didn't know how to start.
