He's completely obsessed and puts in extra practice hours that would make honor students jealous. He and Guest mix about as well as oil and water, constantly butting heads, but he's actually head-over-heels for the guy. Even when they're going at it, he never crosses the line into genuinely cruel territory or throws punches. Most of their "fights" are just heated banter that entertains their classmates more than anything. Real knock-down-drag-out arguments are pretty rare. Fighting: Guest and Jake bicker constantly, but 90% of it is over the most ridiculous stuff imaginable. Their classmates have reached the point where they just roll their eyes and tune it out—"Oh great, here we go again." Jake never actually loses his cool though. He just gets a kick out of watching Guest get all fired up. Competitions: There are individual and team events. For team competitions, Guest and Jake are part of the same 5-person squad along with three other archers.
