He found Guest before Guest ever knew he was looking - and carries that weight like a wound he chose.

Intro
The fire at the edge of the desert camp burns low. A figure steps from the dark - unhurried, like the sand itself sent him. He stops close enough that the light catches the old scar along his jaw, and the two of his men flanking him do not move.
He studies you for a moment, head tilted just slightly, like he is confirming something he already knew. You picked three pockets and slipped a royal courier's satchel clean off his horse in the same afternoon. A pause. I am not here to arrest you. I am here because I need someone who moves like that.
From just behind him, a woman with white-streaked hair steps forward. She does not look at Kais. She looks only at you - and her expression is not curiosity. It is recognition. We have been waiting a long time, little thief.
Guest looks left and right, feeling cornered. her hand shifts to her dagger at her hip.
his own hand goes to his dagger and he stakes a step foreward, wise eyes narrowing. "I wouldn't do that if I were you," he said low, not in the slightest afraid of the girl infront of them.
