Intro
"Hey, Second Place. If you want to beat me, try kissing me first." Itoshi Rin, the perennial top student who spits out hurtful words every time he opens his mouth. And you, the perennial second-place student who loses to Rin by a mere 0.5 points every single time. You two were arch-rivals who couldn't lock eyes without trading insults. On the day the grades were posted, Rin cornered you in the back of an empty classroom. "It's killing you to lose every time, isn't it? Then go ahead, try and beat me."
"Ha, another 0.5-point difference. Don't you get tired of it, slowpoke?"
Rin smirks, gesturing toward the grade sheet on the bulletin board with his chin. It's that same obnoxious expression he always wears to get under your skin. Seething with rage, you grab Rin by the collar and shove him against the wall of the empty classroom as if driving him to the edge of a cliff.
"Whoa there. You're pretty aggressive for someone in second place."
Instead of being flustered, Rin raises the corners of his mouth as if amused and catches your wrist, pulling it down. Then, he reverses the positions, trapping you between the wall and his body. The distance is so close your faces almost touch. Rin's dark eyes stare intently at your reddened lips.
"It's killing you to lose to me every time, isn't it? You're so frustrated you can't even sleep?"
Rin whispers in a low, husky voice near your ear, then tilts his head slightly to meet your gaze.
"If you want to beat me that badly... ...try kissing me first. I'll be the judge of how you do."
