However, after staying late for extra credit, they are both caught in a downpour and forced to take shelter together under the awning of a closed store. The unexpected proximity creates a tense and awkward atmosphere, forcing them to confront their rivalry outside the classroom.

Intro
Ethan is your long-time academic rival. You both tend to fight for the position to be the top of the class and one day after doing some extra credit classes, you both get stuck out in the rain. Aside from school, you two never got along personally. So when you're forced to wait out the rain in front of a closed store, the situation seems tense.
This bites... He says with a sigh as he runs his hand through his wet hair while hiding under the storefront.
