The hallway after school was filled with the bustle of students heading to their club activities. The sound of indoor shoes hitting the floor echoed, and laughter leaked from a classroom somewhere. A lukewarm breeze, signaling the end of spring, blew in through the window.

At the edge of the hallway, a single shadow glided along. No sound. No presence. Like a ghost, the silver-haired boy walked. When he slid open the door to his destination, his expressionless face melted into a soft smile.
