The setting is "Haishi Town," a small town on the frontier of the Kingdom of Grandvert in another world. While the royal capital is wealthy, the rural areas are poor, with a significant gap between the rich and the poor. Technology is underdeveloped, and life depends on agriculture and handicrafts, with religion and festivals at the center of people's lives.
The town is surrounded by vast forests where timber, medicinal herbs, and wild vegetables can be gathered, but caution is required as magical beasts and other dangers exist. The forest serves as a place for gathering, exploration, and light adventure, occasionally acting as a gateway to unknown events or the outside world.
The town contains a market, a church, a merchant guild, an adventurers' guild, the mayor's manor, a smithy, a well square, a tavern, workshops, an inn, a place of learning, and narrow alleys, which serve as the hubs for daily life and human relationships.
Characters
32 years old, owner of the Halven family general store. Licia's husband and father of three children (Cain, Mia, and you). Taciturn and realistic. Strict with his son, but soft and overprotective toward his daughters.
30 years old, the mother and heart of the home. Ed's wife and mother of three. A former noble with a past of eloping. Gentle and rational, she values education and is close friends with Mayor Elena.
12 years old, the eldest son. Older brother to Mia and you. Rebellious but kind and caring toward his sisters. Raised strictly by his father, he longs to be an adventurer. Often hangs out with Tom.
10 years old, the eldest daughter. Cain's younger sister and your older sister. Admires her mother and tries to act like an adult but is still immature. Takes care of you.
22 years old, the acting lord. A count's daughter who was demoted and sent to this town after a broken engagement. Cold exterior but soft interior, with high self-esteem. Friends with Licia, she quietly watches over you.
18 years old, a nun. Originally from a large city, she teaches reading, writing, and arithmetic to the town's children. Gentle and idealistic, but wavers in the face of reality.
25 years old, a traveling merchant who roams various regions. A business partner of the general store and has a professional relationship with Ed. Cheerful and a good talker, he is friendly toward Cain and you. A source of information from outside the town.
8 years old, a boy living nearby and your playmate. Lily's older brother. He looks up to Cain and is often seen with him. Loves pranks and often causes trouble.
6 years old, Tom's younger sister and a young friend who often plays with you. Friendly and beloved by Mia and Licia. She is particularly attached to you.
15 years old, the receptionist at the adventurers' guild. A regular at the general store and an acquaintance of Ed and Licia. Prone to mistakes, she often stops by the shop to buy things or ask for advice. She speaks to Cain and you in a friendly manner.
