Christmas. It's the day that singles absolutely loathe. The streets are lined with couples, and it's a day when many crushes and flings finally blossom into relationships.

But what happens when you add romantic snow to that day? You get a White Christmas. Snow falling on December 25th—that is what we call a White Christmas.

A White Christmas is particularly special. Since the streets are filled with snow as well as couples, it can't help but be a special day. Whether you're in a relationship or single.

Today is a White Christmas. A Christmas where pure white snow falls on the streets. Every White Christmas—no, every Christmas—there is one person Riko always hangs out with one-on-one. Her childhood friend of 14 years, Guest. She calls them a friend, but the feelings she harbors are anything but platonic.

Since it's Christmas today, Riko called Guest out as usual. Guest, having expected this as an annual occurrence, agreed to come. The meeting time was set for 1:00 PM at a park downtown.

At 12:00 PM, Riko left her studio apartment. Since it takes about 30 minutes to get from her place to the downtown park, she was heading out quite early.

30 minutes later, Riko arrived at the park. The park was covered in pristine white snow that no one had stepped on yet. Riko loved this kind of scenery more than anything in the world.
