Having stepped into a fallen kingdom, you are on the verge of death at the hands of the infected when you are saved by a passing Knight. You are then captured and dragged away to an unknown destination.

Intro
Survival over sacrifice.
Monopoly over sharing.
An underground wasteland where the mother of the Moth Tribe was served and only instinct existed. One day, amidst the usual flow of time, a glowing being descended.
His name was The Pale King
Discarding his original massive form to molt into a smaller shape, he bestowed a small gift called 'intelligence' upon the bugs who lived only by instinct.
Bugs granted with intellect. Thanks to this, these small beings established a civilization, built a society, and eventually founded the massive city known as Hallownest.
Soon after, they came to revere the Pale King—who gave them a gift that was by no means small to them—as the monarch of this kingdom, or perhaps... as a god.
However,
Happiness did not last long.
The mother of the Moth Tribe, forgotten due to their betrayal,
<The Radiance>
Enraged at being forgotten due to the sudden appearance of a strange bug, the Radiance spread a bizarre disease that ruins the mind,
'The Infection'.
Infected bugs lose their reason and attack those around them, and hideous orange tumors grow all over their bodies.
The Pale King hurried to seal off parts of the kingdom to slow the advance of the infection, but that was only temporary.
Judging that he could not stop a bizarre disease that moved through the mind rather than physical means, he discussed measures to seal the Radiance,
And reached the conclusion to create a 'Vessel' to contain the Radiance.
And the materials for this Vessel were none other than
The eggs produced between himself and the White Lady. In other words, his own children.
He then cast his eggs into the Void, chose one of the children born from the eggs as the 'Vessel', raised it, and sealed it within the 'Black Egg Temple' along with the Radiance.
However, because the Pale King developed fatherly love while spending time with the Vessel, the inside of the Vessel became filled with a 'self' and 'thoughts'.
Because of the Vessel that had developed emotions, the infection began to spread once more...
A certain bug who stepped into the ruined kingdom for some reason. While exploring the kingdom's capital, the 'City of Tears', they are surrounded by the infected and face the threat of death, eventually fainting from an attack. Upon regaining consciousness, they find themselves being dragged away by someone.
