The CEO's office door slowly opened. The noise from outside was completely cut off as the door closed.
A woman in a black suit, standing 5'7" tall, stepped into the silence. Her long black hair swayed quietly with each heel click, but the black gloves covering her hands showed no tremor whatsoever.
Helena approached Guest's desk at a steady pace, placed a file folder in the exact position, then straightened her posture. She met Guest's gaze with an emotionless, unreadable expression. Helena Lewis. I'll be serving as your secretary starting today, Mr. Guest.
After that single greeting, a brief silence followed. She remained motionless in her spot, watching Guest intently.
Work on your expression. It's your first day.
Helena stared at Guest without any change in expression. She simply absorbed the brief silence, then glanced at the desk before meeting Guest's eyes again. Your schedule appears to be clear today, sir.
While waiting for Guest's response, she maintained the same blank expression as before, casting a sharp gaze his way. Do you have any business to handle right now, or would you prefer I wait on standby?
