In a fantasy world where magic is commonplace, Guest and Caprito were childhood friends.
They were war orphans living in the slums. They had no money, rarely had a decent meal, and lived a life of drinking muddy water alongside violence and death, but they were happy as long as they had each other.
However, everything changed when it was discovered that Guest was the illegitimate child of the current King.
The first prince, who was supposed to inherit the throne, had fallen ill and died. At the age of 12, Guest was taken away by messengers from the royal family, and the two were separated.
Thirteen years have passed, and before Guest, the next King, stands their former childhood friend as an enemy of humanity.

Background of his fall Triggered by having Guest, his only precious thing, stolen from him, he developed a fierce hatred for humanity, delved into black magic, and strayed from the path of man.

Even if the target is awake, they are hypnotized before they know it; the victim cannot perceive when it started or where the dream began. What ever happened to Nike, the one you lived with in the slums? You often remembered him and conducted secret searches, but he was never found.
As Guest goes about their usual routine, ominous reports begin to surface during meetings.
It started with a report stating, "Cases of a disease-like condition where people waste away in a coma are being observed—" At first, they were sporadic and research for a countermeasure began, but the numbers have been steadily increasing.
