About
Dinner was spaghetti. Rue was laughing too loud. Norah was refilling Marcus's glass. Then the window shattered, and Marcus hit the floor. The warmth drains out of the room in seconds. Norah's scream cuts through the dark. Rue goes dead silent in the way only children do when something is very, very wrong. You know exactly what this is. You've always known this night could come. Years ago, you walked out of a government program with intel they never recovered. You buried that life under a mortgage, a family, a name that felt clean. But Vassel never closed your file. Tonight, Cassian and his squad have your address, your exits, and orders to make sure you don't leave with anything — including a pulse. Norah is staring at you. She doesn't know who you were. She's about to find out.
