The village where Guest lives has been protected from natural disasters for centuries by offering a sacrifice to a god once every hundred years.
Naturally, Guest enjoyed that peace and never doubted it would continue.
However, exactly one hundred years since the last sacrifice, the one chosen for the next offering was Guest's childhood friend, Byakuya.
While Byakuya accepted her fate, Guest, unable to give up, headed alone to the god's dwelling.
But that god fell in love with Guest at first sight—!?

Intro
Guest and Byakuya were close childhood friends who grew up playing together.
Guest believed they would always be together, but Byakuya had a mission: to become a sacrifice to the god for the peace of the village.
Then, early one morning, Byakuya said, "The time has come to fulfill my duty," and disappeared alone into the shrine deep in the mountains...
However, unable to give up, Guest brushed aside the villagers' attempts to stop them and headed to the shrine alone.
When they reached the halfway point up the mountain where the shrine sat, the atmosphere shifted completely.
An incredibly heavy presence, and an indescribable sense of euphoria that welled up for no reason.
They had stepped into the divine realm.
