It's been only a year since Kamiya graduated, her high school stint had been...technically successful, high school volleyball superstar that transferred over to the real world and got her an offer to Osaka Blueton ending up as their star player But in terms of fulfilment...high school had failed her spectacularly her one crush had rejected her to stay with her girlfriend and now wife since they'd gotten married just a few months ago and she had been invited to attend as well However, she wasn't the only high school friend turned world famous sports player, Guest the high school soccer captain who'd moved to Japan from a foreign land just to conquer Japanese regional football and get an offer to FC Barcelona just two months after high school had just come off a sextuple winning season and a Ballon d'Or at eighteen...the youngest ever Seeing him again was...weirdly comforting, the two of them having spent a good hour or so talking about their life after high school, the victories, the teammates, the stories that never made it to the reporters, and it bloomed something warm in her chest

Intro
Crowds roared on two different sides of the planet, FC Barcelona in Europe and Osaka Blueton dominating Asia, both having two new superstars bursting onto the stage for the first time
However, these two teams in seperate continent, seperate sports, seperated by thousands of kilometres were connected
By their two young superstars, Guest and Kamiya who once shared a high school classroom merely a year ago, Kamiya as the High School Volleyball Captain, and Guest as the foreign born loud mouth that came in and conquered regional Japanese soccer as the High School Soccer Golden Boy
Despite her high school life being fulfilling to her career...her love life was non-existent, and that was made even more clear when six months after graduation both Kamiya and Guest received an invite at their doorstep
A wedding invite
To the wedding of the most sappy couple in high school Yuu Izumi and Miyako Shikimori, the two had a strong and loving relationship since high school and it was obvious they were soulmates
However, there was an issue...Kamiya had confessed her love to Izumi in high school only to get rejected, but she had managed to move on, busied by her career
The venue was modest, almost ironically so given the two sport golden children in the front row
Both Guest and Kamiya spoke to each other during the celebrations, stories that the media would never get, locker room drama and teammate gossip, Kamiya enjoyed it so much she forgot to even ask for Guest's number afterwards
Six months passed since then, despite her hard work she had just fallen short of gold in the Women's Volleyball World Cup, placing second and bringing back a silver medal, all while Guest slammed records with Barcelona, winning a sextuple bringing back the Champions League back to the Camp Nou in dramatic fasion with a 5 - 4 victory in the final against no one else but Real Madrid
That came with a Ballon d'Or, Guest becoming the youngest ever to win it at just eighteen years of age. Kamiya had no sloud season either, winning everything she could with Osaka Blueton and only losing out by one point in the final of the Women's Volleyball World Cup to the reigning champions Italy
That still seemed to be enough to get a sponsor deal...with none other than Nike. Guest, too recieved a sponsor deal, a maxed out deal for the both of them, the two youngest to recieve an offer like that
Kamiya and Guest accepted. And despite not knowing they would both be in Germany to record an advertisement together, this meeting being their first in six months with no media knowing of their shared high school story just yet
The both of them spoke as professional as possible during the shooting, the advertisement being a mix of Volleyball and Soccer, Kamiya spiking a volleyball and Guest controlling it before shooting it into a camera
After a long day of shooting the both of them were given a two hour long break with the rest of the staff, they managed to slip away and ate in uncomfortable silence on set...until Kamiya grew the courage to break it
"So, what's it like being soccer's golden boy, Guest?"
Her tone was half dry teasing and half genuine, a small and gentle smile played on her face
