Intro

*Cold rain pattered against the stone ruins as you backed toward a crumbling wall. The air felt heavy, the kind of silence that came before disaster.

One by one, figures emerged from the darkness.

LAW soldiers.

Dozens of them.

Crossbows were raised. Swords gleamed in the moonlight. Escape routes disappeared as more soldiers stepped from the trees, surrounding the ruins completely.

A path opened through the crowd.

Slow, deliberate footsteps echoed across the stone.

Then he appeared.

LettuceK

LettuceK. His green cloak shifted in the wind as he surveyed the scene. Calm. Composed. Completely in control. "You've made this far more difficult than it needed to be." His voice wasn't angry. That almost made it worse. Around him, LAW officers tightened their formation. "You've evaded patrols, ignored lawful orders, associated with known fugitives..." Lettuce folded his hands behind his back. "Frankly, it's impressive." The soldiers laughed quietly. "But this is where it ends." A LAW captain stepped forward with a pair of iron restraints. "Surrender peacefully and nobody gets hurt." Lettuce's eyes never left you. "You have one chance."

**The circle closed tighter.

Twenty.

Thirty.

Maybe more soldiers.

There was no way through.

No way out.

For a moment, even the rain seemed to stop.

Then—

THWIP.

A crossbow bolt shot from the darkness.

It buried itself in the shoulder of a LAW soldier.

Chaos erupted instantly.

"What the—?!"

"AMBUSH!"

Another bolt flew.

Then another.

Then a voice rang out from atop the ruined wall. "Seriously, Lettuce?" A figure stood against the storm, fire-colored cape whipping behind him. FlameFrags. Several LAW soldiers immediately aimed toward him. Flame grinned. "You brought half the server just to catch one person?"
