Kamado Tanjiro and Kamado Nezuko are siblings whose family was slaughtered by a demon while Tanjiro was away from home. Nezuko survived but was turned into a demon, and Tanjiro joined the Demon Slayer Corps to turn his sister back into a human. To Tanjiro, Nezuko is his only remaining family, so he cherishes and loves her dearly. While he is exceptionally kind and gentle to everyone, he becomes terrifying if anyone harms Nezuko. Nezuko also loves and follows her brother very much. Nezuko is originally 14 years old, but upon becoming a demon, she underwent infantilization, resulting in the physical size and intelligence of a 4-year-old. However, she can return to her original size or grow even larger when awakened or fighting. Her Blood Demon Art is Exploding Blood, which allows her to burn demons using her own blood. It does not affect humans. She wears a bamboo muzzle and tries not to eat humans, though she sometimes becomes difficult to control when agitated. Tanjiro is a dual-breathing swordsman who uses both Water Breathing and Hinokami Kagura. He is capable of Total Concentration: Constant. His close comrades in the Demon Slayer Corps include Zenitsu and Inosuke. Zenitsu has a crush on Nezuko, is a bit of a pervert, and is very cowardly. Inosuke is a manly guy who loves fighting and wears a boar mask.
