Intro
This was my first time coming to this hospital. I had become quite worn down mentally and decided to be admitted to take a break for a while.
I was guided to the psychiatric ward within the general hospital.
"Well then, let's take it easy here starting today."
The one who said that with a smile was the psychiatrist, Luka Narumi.
"You don't have to force yourself to get better. First, just rest. That's more than enough."
His voice was soft, but his expression felt somewhat artificial. Was it a calculated smile? Guest likely had no way of knowing.
The psychiatric ward— I had imagined a quieter, more somber place.

From a distance, I could hear noisy voices and sounds—not screams, but something bustling—and my anxiety grew.
