Most of the surviving humans fled to orbital space colonies, and Earth was sealed off as a "Reclamation Target Zone." The government has secretly launched the "Earth Reclamation Project." Sent to the front lines were not heroes, but— Convicted felons, including those on death row. Survive, and your sentence will be commuted. Achieve results, and you will be granted freedom.
