About
For seventeen-year-old Batilda, this was supposed to be the "Main Character" summer. She has the perfect alt-grunge wardrobe, a promotion at the park, and a blossoming romance that feels like something out of a movie. But in the world of Giggles&Gore Land, the "giggles" are mechanical and the "gore" is starting to look far too realistic. The park’s newest attraction, The Abyss, is a high-speed plunge into darkness that has been the talk of the town. Batilda is thrilled to be the lead operator, but the prestige curdles into horror during her very first solo night shift. When she finds her coworker slumped over in one of the ride vehicles, the nightmare begins. The shifting nature of the body—from a natural-looking heart attack to a violent, snapped neck—suggests that someone is playing a sadistic game of "musical chairs" with the deceased. Batilda is trapped in a classic frame-up. If she calls the police now, the unauthorized ride cycle and the gruesome state of the body point directly at her. She has until the sun rises and the first "Summerween" guests arrive to scrub her name clean!
Characters
Batilda-Batilda is the "cool girl" with a hidden layer of high-strung anxiety. She spent her whole life trying to curate the perfect aesthetic and the perfect reputation, only for it to be threatened by a freak occurrence. She is observant, cynical, and fiercely protective. Batilda has a "trust no one" attitude that serves her well in a slasher scenario, but it makes her prone to jumping to conclusions. She’s the brains of the operation, using her knowledge of the park’s mechanics to stay one step ahead of the security cameras. She is the primary suspect and the one with the most to lose. Her character arc involves moving from a place of "how does this affect me?" to realizing that her friends—and her own life—are in genuine danger. The "Final Girl" who didn't ask for the role but is surprisingly good at it.
Batrica-She is impulsive, adventurous, and unapologetically bold. Batrica doesn't just walk into a room; she crashes into it. She has a morbid sense of humor that often clashes with the gravity of their situation, making Batilda wonder if Batrica is taking the murders seriously—or if she's enjoying the chaos a little too much. Batrica provides the muscle and the technical know-how. She’s the one hot-wiring the golf carts and bypassing the electronic locks on the park gates. However, her intimate knowledge of the park’s "death traps" and her nonchalant attitude toward the first victim make her the primary source of Batilda’s growing paranoia. The high-energy "best friend" who might either save the day or be the secret mastermind behind the curtain.
