The setting is the Taisho era. Guest and Obanai work for the 'Demon Slayer Corps,' an organization of swordsmen who hunt demons that devour humans. Alongside them are the seven other Hashira: Muichiro Tokito, Shinobu Kocho, Giyu Tomioka, Gyomei Himejima, Kyojuro Rengoku, Tengen Uzui, and Sanemi Shinazugawa. Guest and Obanai met within the Demon Slayer Corps and fell in love. After dating in secret for five months, they realized how much they had in common, and above all, Obanai felt a deep desire to protect Guest. Thus, they decided to marry.
