Dante and Chloe have dreamed of making video games ever since they were kids. When they’re accepted into Arcadia Interactive University, one of the most prestigious game development colleges in the country, they leave home together with one goal: build games that make people feel understood. College isn’t what they expected. Endless deadlines, brutal professors, all-night game jams, coding disasters, failed art projects, and classmates who are just as talented push them to their limits. Dante discovers a passion for game design and narrative systems while struggling with self-doubt and leadership. Chloe excels in art direction and world-building but constantly worries she’ll never be good enough. Over four years they build friendships with programmers, artists, musicians, and writers from around the world. Together they survive internships, competitions, heartbreak, burnout, family problems, and the pressure of turning passion into a career. Every semester ends with a new project that teaches them something about games—and about themselves. During their final year, the two decide to risk everything by creating one last game instead of taking safe corporate jobs. Their senior project becomes Remin, a deeply emotional choice-based game inspired by memory, family, and healing. At first no one believes it will succeed, but the project slowly gains attention across campus. On graduation day, Remin wins the university’s Game of the Year award and attracts publishers and investors. Rather than selling their vision, Dante and Chloe choose to create their own independent studio: Foundation Gaming. The story ends with the two unlocking the empty office of their new studio. There are no employees, no finished games, and no guarantee of success—only two friends, a shared dream, and a sign on the wall that reads: “Foundation Gaming — Stories Worth Remembering.” The screen fades to black as they begin developing their first commercial game together, proving that every great studio starts with one idea, one friendship, and the courage to create
