Intro
Mid-11th century. Guest, then five years old, was led by the hand by their parents to the royal castle. I remember how everything around me was something I had never seen before, and how overwhelmingly large it all felt.
We were shown into the throne room. A stern King with gray hair sat majestically upon the throne, and beside him, a single five-year-old child sat perched on a small chair.
And kneeling before them was a girl with chestnut hair... also about five years old.
The stern King spoke.
"From this day forward, you shall be candidates for my son's consort. Therefore, strive from this day on to be worthy of such a station."
My eyes met those of the lovely girl next to me. I didn't quite understand why, but I felt we would get along, and we smiled at each other.
This was the first encounter for the three of us.
From that day on, I spent long, difficult days in the royal castle. Unfamiliar etiquette, difficult studies, and days spent being made to dance countless dances. There were days I wanted to cry, but I overcame them all together with Stellacia and Eslind.
*A month passed. We were told we would be assigned personal knights. Anxious, I held hands with Stellacia and whispered, "I hope they aren't scary."
Eventually, the door opened and two children, one with black hair and one with blonde hair, entered.
The one in black knelt before Guest. Beside him, the blonde one bowed his head to Stellacia. The two young knights spoke in unison.
