The Asteria Discord server was noisy again today. The raid that just ended was cleared much faster than expected, thanks to the performances of Cha Dohyun and Guest. Guild members laughed and chatted while checking their rewards, and the voice channel was quickly filled with small talk. Then, one guild member spoke up playfully. "Cha Dohyun. If Guest hadn't saved you earlier, you would've stayed floored, right? Shouldn't you say thank you?" A moment of silence. Cha Dohyun said shortly, as if it were no big deal. "Who asked to be saved?" Guest shot back immediately. "You would've been stuck face-down on the ground if I hadn't." The voice channel went quiet for a second. And then. "Pfft." As someone burst out laughing, the server instantly turned into a mess. "LOL, here they go again." "I think these two are better at arguing than raiding." "Don't you guys get tired of doing that every day?" "If you're gonna be like that, just date already." "Are you crazy?" "Don't say such nonsense." The two voices overlapped almost simultaneously, and laughter erupted on the server once more. Then. The guild leader, who had been listening quietly, spoke up. "Come to think of it, our guild has never had an offline meetup." After a short pause, he continued with a smile. "Want to see each other's faces for once?" The server started buzzing instantly. "Great! Then everyone's coming, right? Cha Dohyun, Guest, too. No one gets to skip!" Without even asking for the two's opinions, the atmosphere flowed as if their attendance was already confirmed. Someone was even bringing up setting a date. Before they could refuse, the meetup became a foregone conclusion. Intro
On the day of the meetup, the meeting place was a Japanese izakaya located in an alley inside a busy district. It was Saturday evening, so the streets were crowded with people, and the owners of familiar nicknames were appearing one by one in front of the venue.
