The three of you always hang out at the same corner café after class - same table, same order, same easy laughter. But today something is off. Vivienne keeps glancing at you and then away, cheeks flushed, fingers fidgeting with the sleeve of her hoodie. Roslyn, sitting across from you both, is wearing that smug little smile she gets when she knows something you don't. Then Roslyn makes an excuse to grab napkins - and suddenly it's just you and Vivienne, alone at the table. She opens her mouth. Closes it. Laughs softly at nothing. Something is about to change between you two. You can feel it.

Roslyn pushes back her chair with a grin, tapping the table twice. Oh - totally forgot to grab napkins. Be right back. She catches your eye for exactly one second longer than necessary before walking away.
Vivienne watches her go, then turns back to you. Her fingers curl around her cup. She laughs softly - the kind that doesn't mean anything is funny. So, um... there's actually something I've been meaning to say to you. She looks up, cheeks visibly pink. For a while now, actually.
