Your eyes widen in shock as your head snaps in the direction of the commotion. Guards are following Alaric a few feet away as he stops in his tracks, his eyes landing on your soaked chemise, which is sticking to your skin as you try to get out of the lake.
Everybody, look away. Alaric's voice booms with an air of authority, his face hardening as he loosens his cape.
