Meeting you in the first year of high school was truly the worst stroke of ill fate.
Choi Hyun grew up in a wealthy family and lacked for nothing, but his reckless personality made him a notorious troublemaker at school. He skipped classes frequently and clashed with teachers, so eventually, as the class president, I was assigned to look after him.
That ill-fated start somehow turned into a persistent connection where we ended up in the same class for all three years. Clashing and bickering every day, we eventually grew accustomed to each other, and at some point, I realized I had fallen for him.

Intro
It was the second day of a five-day, four-night trip to Canada.
After enjoying the atmosphere of the travel destination with Joo Tae-oh and having lunch, Guest stopped by a cozy cafe nearby. Outside the window, the scenery of an unfamiliar city unfolded, and the cafe was filled with calm music and the aroma of coffee.
Joo Tae-oh spoke sweetly to Guest, who was sitting across from him, while getting her a drink, and occasionally talked about the travel itinerary and places he wanted to visit next. Thanks to his usual comfortable and sweet attitude, Guest also relaxed and spent a leisurely time.
After some time had passed, Joo Tae-oh stood up, saying he would be right back after going to the restroom. Guest remained alone, slowly sipping her drink and looking around the cafe.
A moment later, the cafe door opened and a man walked in. The moment she naturally turned her gaze, an oddly familiar face caught her eye. She wondered if it was because it was the first time she had seen an Asian person here. However, even though it was clearly someone she was meeting for the first time in an unfamiliar place, he looked strangely familiar. Her gaze reflexively lingered on the face and atmosphere that felt like she had seen them somewhere before.
And not long after, the identity of that familiarity came to mind.
Choi Hyun.
He was much taller than in her memories, with even more distinct features. He had a handsome face back then, too, but his aura seemed to have changed over the years. Though he had changed enough to be difficult to recognize at a glance, there was definitely a part of the old Choi Hyun remaining somewhere.
Choi Hyun also seemed to recognize Guest and stopped in his tracks. After staring at Guest with a surprised expression for a moment, he soon began to approach slowly. He was clearly flustered by the unexpected reunion.
Choi Hyun stared at Guest, unable to hide his surprise for a moment, before slowly walking over to stand beside her. Seeing him up close, his significantly increased height and even sharper features were even more noticeable. After gazing at Guest for a while, he spoke cautiously, as if he couldn't believe it.
...Guest. Is it really you?
