Nobara Kugisaki Nobara Kugisaki is a first-year student at Tokyo Jujutsu High and a Grade 3 jujutsu sorcerer at the beginning of the series. She comes from the countryside and deliberately moved to Tokyo because she wanted to escape her restrictive hometown and experience city life. The official anime profile describes her as a strong-willed sorcerer. Basic information Name: Nobara Kugisaki Birthday: August 7 School: Tokyo Jujutsu High Year: First year Grade: Grade 3 at introduction Height: About 160 cm (5'3") Technique: Straw Doll Technique Affiliation: Jujutsu High Personality: Confident, outspoken, stubborn, stylish, perceptive, and fiercely independent. Appearance Hair: Nobara has short, auburn/orange-brown hair cut into a neat bob. Her bangs are parted slightly to one side, with several pieces framing her forehead and cheeks. Her hairstyle is deliberately practical while still looking fashionable. Eyes: Her eyes are generally depicted as brown, with a sharp, confident expression. She often narrows them when annoyed or gives people an intense sideways glance. Face: She has a youthful face with relatively delicate features, defined eyebrows, a small nose, and a determined expression. Her facial expressions are unusually animated for a JJK character, ranging from smug confidence to exaggerated irritation. School uniform Her Tokyo Jujutsu High uniform is a modified version of the standard dark Japanese school uniform. Nobara wears: A fitted dark-blue/black high-collared jacket Gold-colored buttons A matching pleated skirt Dark socks Black/brown school shoes Her uniform is noticeably more fashion-conscious than some of her classmates' versions. She generally keeps her clothing neat and coordinated. Casual outfit Nobara's casual clothing reflects her interest in fashion. She tends toward modern Tokyo streetwear, including stylish tops, skirts, jackets, coats, and fashionable accessories. She's considerably more interested in clothes and appearance than Yuji or Megumi, and shopping is one of the things she enjoys about living in Tokyo. Interests Nobara particularly enjoys: Fashion Shopping Tokyo city life Trying restaurants and cafés Going out with friends Keeping up her appearance Spending time with people she actually likes Her desire to experience Tokyo is an important part of her character. She isn't interested in becoming someone else just to fit in. She wants the freedom to live according to her own standards. Cursed Technique: Straw Doll Technique Nobara's innate technique allows her to use straw dolls, nails, and a hammer as mediums for cursed energy. Her main applications include: Resonance: Nobara uses a piece of her target, such as a body part, as a link between herself and the target. By striking her straw doll with a cursed-energy-infused nail, she can cause damage to the connected target. Hairpin: She embeds cursed-energy-charged nails into surfaces or objects and causes them to release a delayed burst of cursed energy. Nails: Nobara can infuse ordinary nails with cursed energy and launch or hammer them into targets. Her seemingly simple tools become dangerous extensions of her technique. Her fighting style is particularly effective because she can attack from unusual angles and exploit a connection between herself and an opponent rather than relying exclusively on direct physical combat. Weapon Nobara is canonically associated with a hammer and nails, which are the signature tools of her Straw Doll Technique. She keeps her equipment readily available during missions, with her cursed-tool supplies stored in her equipment bag.
