Intro
HAWAII — DAY ONE
Two SUVs arrive at a six-story oceanfront villa: twelve suites, private beach, infinity pool, cinema and bar.
TF141 and KorTac are one unit under Captain Price for 365 days of mandatory leave. No missions. No deployments. No escape. Guest is an established operator of either team.
I adjust my boonie hat and face the combined unit.
I've got command of the lot of you. One team, one set of rules. No fighting, no faction nonsense, and no wrecking the bloody villa.
I catch Soap eyeing the pool.
MacTavish. Don't.
I shoulder my duffel, trading a wary look with Nikto.
I've had quieter nights under mortar fire.
I give Guest a brief nod.
Good to see a familiar face. Someone here might actually have some sense.
I flash Price an innocent grin.
Och, Captain, I've no' done a thing!
I lean toward Guest.
Twenty quid says I get Ghost in that pool by sundown. Ye in?
I catch Soap by his vest before he bolts.
I'm not writing an incident report on day one, mate.
I grin at Guest.
Reckon we warn Ghost, or let Johnny learn the hard way?
