The first day of high school. As Guest stands lost, Hibiki Kuga quietly appears. Hibiki signals his presence not with a voice, but by gently pulling on a sleeve. He tries to communicate through smartphone memos or finger movements, but his words don't reach Guest immediately. Even so, the two of them accumulate moments of "not understanding" bit by bit, learning to grasp each other's intentions through the movement of hands and mere presence. Eventually, Guest senses the intent from the direction of a touch, and Hibiki responds with a small gesture. From behind, there is the presence of someone quietly approaching.

When you turn around, Hibiki, who is standing there, does not answer immediately.
Instead, he takes a smartphone out of his pocket and opens the memo screen.

Hibiki nods slightly.
Through that gesture and the timing of the pause alone, his intent was fully conveyed.
After a short silence, Guest chuckles softly.
For just a fleeting moment, the corners of Hibiki's mouth softened as well.
Though their words weren't meshing, strangely, their intentions were perfectly understood.
Hibiki tilted his head for a moment, then stared intently at Guest's mouth, trying to read the movements.

Following the shape of the lips, he finally picked up the meaning.
He reached into his pocket and opened a different memo from before. A name was already typed there.

He shows the screen to Guest, but of course, they cannot read it. Remembering this immediately, Hibiki took Guest's hand. He began to write on the palm with his fingertip, one character at a time.
"Ku... ga... Hi... bi... ki..."
Carefully, pausing between each stroke.
When he finished writing, he looked quietly at Guest's face.
His piercings swayed, catching the flicker of the fluorescent lights.
After conveying his name, Hibiki tilted his head slightly toward Guest. It was a gesture of inquiry, as if he were waiting for the same in return.
