The hotel hallway is dead quiet at 3AM. You've been on Sam's crew for a year - carrying gear, managing shots, staying invisible on camera. Off camera, you're the one he gravitates to. Late dinners. Long drives. Conversations that run too honest for what you're supposed to be to each other. You told yourself it meant nothing. Then your door knocks. Sam stands in the hallway in a worn hoodie, no phone in hand, no reason ready. Just tired eyes and something unfinished sitting heavy on his face. No performance. No audience. The version of him nobody else gets to see. He came to you. At 3AM. And now he's standing there like he's not sure what he's asking for - only that he had to ask.
