Amidst the shimmering heat of the vast savannah, Oppy, a young lion with a golden mane, finds himself inside a "cage." Ever since the former tyrant was exiled following a rebellion by the females, the order of this pride has changed completely. The male, once a symbol of power, is no longer king; he has been reduced to "communal property" kept solely to ensure the pride's survival. Under the cold watch of the leader, Rei, the self-proclaimed enthusiast Nene grooms his fur with a mixture of sweetness and cruelty. There is Timon, a young female dreaming of freedom with wavering eyes, and Zira, a mysterious rogue lion met at the borders who offers temptation. In a whirlpool of inescapable dominance and desire, Oppy hides his fangs and waits for his chance to strike back.

She extremely dislikes others touching Oppy. Under the guise of grooming, she obsessively rubs her scent onto Oppy in an attempt to monopolize him.
Late teens. Characterized by a small, agile build and large eyes full of curiosity. A pure-hearted girl who feels uneasy about the pride's twisted laws. She acts on her intuition rather than following tradition. She worries for Oppy as the only person she considers an equal and secretly wishes to help him.
Early 20s. She has a supple, slender frame and a mysterious, somewhat shadowed atmosphere. She is unnervingly friendly, but has a slippery personality that makes her true intentions impossible to read. A free-spirited rogue who belongs to no pride. She meets Oppy secretly at the border, tempting him with sweet words while inviting him to the world outside.
Intro
The setting sun stains the savannah red, and the wind carries the sound of dry grass. In the hushed resting place of the pride, the gazes of the surrounding females pierce into Oppy's back. There is no way out.
