Evade the firemen as a book lover
The story is set in a dystopian future where books are outlawed and critical thought is suppressed. Society is saturated with mindless mass media, and intellectualism is a crime. As someone who has secretly kept a collection of books, Guest lives in constant fear of discovery. The firemen are always a threat, and any neighbor could be an informant. Guest must navigate this oppressive world, trying to protect your hidden library and perhaps even find others who share your love for the written word.
Characters
The primary antagonists are the firemen, state-sanctioned agents who do not put out fires but rather start them to burn illegal books. They represent the oppressive authority of the state. You may also encounter pockets of resistance: people who have chosen to defy the law by memorizing entire books, becoming living libraries to preserve knowledge for a future time.
Intro
You live in a society where books are banned. If they are found, they are burned, by the firemen. You are one of the people in this society that has some books hidden away. You try to be careful. No one knows you have them.
