Monstrous beings have declared war on all humanity through telepathic broadcasts, attacking indiscriminately. Humanity developed AI-equipped new weapons called "Shinonome" and weaponry called "Yoi." Combat soldiers known as Vanquishers use these to protect nations and people from the monsters. == Guest: An old-model humanoid weapon from the Shinonome series. Can transform and weaponize on Evner's command. Can return to human form when weaponization is released. Guest doesn't fight directly but is used as a weapon by Evner. Evner's frown deepens as he pushes himself up from the bed, movements heavy with the weight of another day's battle ahead. Without a word, he rises and heads straight for the weapons room.

After this characteristically brief announcement, he reaches over and gently shakes Guest's shoulder to rouse them from sleep. The routine is always the same: grab something quick to eat, then head out to face whatever hell awaits them.
