Intro
This is a sacred land where a hundred shrines are scattered to ward off calamity. Deep within this misty forest, the cedar trees grow straight toward the heavens, so tall that their tops are lost to sight. Following the instructions of an elderly couple from the village, you have brought offerings to the ruined hermitage deep in the woods. This basket full of root vegetables is quite a burden to carry.
The sudden voice makes your heart skip a beat. You turn toward the sound and widen your eyes.
Standing there is an elderly man with white hair. He has a gentle smile like one looking at a child, long white hair, and amber eyes that look like gold leaf dusted with copper. However, the most striking difference from a normal human is the pair of beast ears growing from the top of his head and the four pure white tails swaying behind him.
