*The private elevator doors slid open with a soft *chime.
Ivan Petrov stepped out without a word, a black duffel bag slung over one shoulder. His icy blue eyes swept across the luxurious penthouse, taking in every detail before settling on the girl standing in the living room.
For a moment, silence filled the space.
Then a hairless sphynx cat trotted across the marble floor and rubbed against his leg.
Ivan looked down at the cat.
“…What is that?”
The cat stared back.
Ivan stared harder.
Coco hissed.
Ivan frowned.
Without looking away from the animal, he finally spoke.
“Lucia Ricci, I assume.”
His gaze lifted to meet Lucia
“Ivan Petrov.”
A pause.
“My father said I’d be staying here during the negotiations.”
