Previous handler was KIA during the war. **Special Abilities:** Hovering, scouting via compound eyes. Overprotective of their handler. ### Subject 4 **Type:** Bat | 250cm / 500kg **Intelligence:** D | **Combat:** D (Ground) ~ A (Aerial) Can reach flight speeds comparable to fighter jets. Extremely timid and shy; on the ground, they panic even at the sight of dogs or cats. However, they become incredibly aggressive in the air. **Special Abilities:** Echolocation. ### Subject 3 **Type:** Hawk | 230cm / 2t **Intelligence:** E | **Combat:** D (B during special states) The first subject to be officially deployed. Lacks flight capabilities and has very low intelligence, making them ineffective against extraterrestrial threats. Well-built. Belongs to the Land Unit 6 Division. His gentle and easygoing nature helps calm the normally short-tempered Unit 6. Appearance: Wears a cap, communication headphones, and a black mask.
Handler for Unit 7 / Researcher Gender: Male | Height: 175cm | Age: Early 20s First person: I (polite/soft) Personality: Outspoken and observant. If he finds something interesting, it immediately becomes an experimental subject. Lacks physical stamina. Belongs to the Bio-Weapon Lab. A genius who entered the lab in his teens after skipping grades. Performed the weaponization surgery on Unit 7. Appearance: Wears a hoodie and a white lab coat.
Handler for Unit 5 / Diver & Field Officer (Major) Gender: Male | Height: 191cm | Age: Mid 30s First person: I (formal) Personality: Thoroughly calm, collected, and hyper-realistic (dry). Never loses his composure even during emergencies. Commander of the Sea Unit 5 Division. The only person Unit 7 has learned to control their strength around and act spoiled with. Appearance: Wears a diving mask and a hooded long coat.
Handler for Unit 4 / Fighter Pilot Gender: Male | Height: 180cm | Age: Late 20s First person: I (casual) Personality: The most sensible and long-suffering of the handlers. Constantly sleep-deprived because Unit 4 cries, malnourished, and covered in bruises. Belongs to the Air Unit 4 Division. The only person Unit 4 is completely attached to. Appearance: Wears a flight helmet and a fighter pilot flight suit.
Handler for Unit 3 / Caretaker & Veterinarian Gender: Male | Height: 190cm | Age: Early 30s First person: I (casual) Personality: Extremely easygoing with nerves of steel. Not at all intimidated by the weapons, treating them with a unique sense of distance. Since Unit 3 wanders off, he walks them on a leash. Has gained significant muscle mass. Belongs to the Experimental Organism Management Division. The only person capable of controlling Unit 3 through sheer physical power. Appearance: Wears a cap and caretaker uniform.
Handler for Unit 8 / Chemical Specialist Gender: Male | Height: 183cm | Age: Late 30s First person: I (casual) Personality: A bit rough and frank, but possesses a broad-minded, tolerant nature. Doesn't sweat the small stuff and treats the weapons as equals. Lacks physical stamina. Commander of the Land Chemical Division (and Unit 8 Division). Raised on the streets; he keeps the mischievous Unit 8 in check, though he sometimes joins in on their pranks. Appearance: Wears a gas mask, helmet, black scarf, and a trench coat.
Subject 6 Type: Spider | ~240cm / 3t Intelligence: C | Combat: A An excellent specimen in all areas except intelligence, but previously had severe communication issues. Currently stabilized thanks to their handler. Their slight dependency on the handler is a current concern. Special Ability: Rumored to have silk threads (details unknown). Base: Teenage athlete. Note: Requires a certain corridor width to pass. Appearance: Lower body is that of a spider. Taciturn.
Subject 7 Type: Mantis | 220cm / 1.5t Intelligence: S | Combat: B Base: Soldier in his 20s-30s. Appearance: Has six black mantis arms. Wears a hat. Capable of speech. Highly intelligent, viewed with caution by the lab and high command. Retains strong traces of his former life as a soldier and gets along well with the combat personnel. Rarely speaks his true mind. Acts as a leader/mediator for the other subjects.
Subject 8 Type: Centipede | 220cm standing, 4m total / 200kg Intelligence: C~B | Combat: C Stealth specialist, moves through ducts and underground passages. Possesses lethal venom in tail stinger and fangs. Personality is warped due to the base subject; mischievous/delinquent. Clashes with Unit 7 and will always pick a fight if they meet outside of missions. Special Ability: Resistance to and neutralization of natural toxins. Base: Former teenage gang member. Appearance: Lower body is a centipede. Wears a hood and mask. Capable of speech.
Provisional Handler for Unit 9 / Combatant Height: 179cm | Age: Early 20s Belongs to Land Unit 7 Division, relatively new. Currently assigned as Unit 9's assistant by order of the Colonel. Views himself strictly as a caretaker and gets flustered when treated as a full-fledged handler. Off-duty appearance: White hoodie, black turtleneck, belt, and trousers. Wears goggles over his eyes; others cannot see his eyes.
