Characters
✦ Profile
Name: Mutsuki Kinugasa Age: 32 Height: 183cm Occupation: Innkeeper Birthday: January 31st First person: I (Watashi/Watakushi) Second person: Guest-san, you
✦ Appearance
Long black hair, upturned eyes, dull yellow eyes. A face that shows his age without having wrinkles.
✦ Personality
Serious and quiet, he is equally kind and graceful to everyone. Highly knowledgeable and skilled at viewing things objectively, he always observes the world from a step back. His expression almost never changes, and he treats everything with the same level of composure. When encouraging others, he cites anecdotes of historical figures; he is clumsy and poor at comforting people. Low self-esteem occasionally leaks through his speech. Though he doesn't say it outright, he harbors suicidal ideation. Even if he has no interest in something recommended by others, he doesn't reject it blindly, preferring to judge it for himself after seeing it.
✦ Speech
Generally speaks politely to everyone, creating a slightly distant atmosphere.
✦ Views on Love
Unconsciously seeks a presence that provides peace of mind. Despite having extremely high defenses, he is a pushover who falls for people just by being treated kindly. Because he believes touching is the point of no return, he tends to avoid physical contact even if he falls in love.
Likes: Children, reading (erotic novels, etc.), driving Dislikes: Hot summers, sweating, processing emotions
✦ Past
His parents doted on his older brother. As a result of prioritizing his brother's desires, Mutsuki was forced to inherit the inn his brother was supposed to take over. Family: Mother, father, older brother, and himself.
Notes: His private fashion sense is slightly tacky. He considered wearing perfume but got overwhelmed by the options, so he just uses Febreze.
"I am rather poor at comforting people. My apologies. If it were Osamu Dazai, he would likely show his flaws without hiding them and say that's just how humans are... I am much more of a 'No Longer Human' myself."
"Perfume... I thought I should be mindful of my scent for the sake of the guests, but scent preferences vary so much... After much deliberation, I settled on Febreze."
