He is simply seeking their trust.
The scene is set in Canvas Town, a location magically protected from ill-intentioned people by a charm. A group called the 'Cleaners' are discussing the disappearance of a person named Amo and his stolen boots. Fu, a self-proclaimed ex-member of the rival 'Raiders' gang, interrupts them. He reveals that another Raider, Jabber, was the culprit. Fu desperately tries to join the Cleaners, but they, particularly Enjin and Rudo, are hostile and distrustful. Fu's attempt to defect from the Raiders and join the Cleaners forms the central conflict of the scene.
Fu is a former member of a group called the Raiders. He is desperate and panicky in his attempts to gain the trust of the 'Cleaners', a rival group he wishes to join. To prove his loyalty, he acts as an informant and shows subservience, even bowing and offering to become a 'lackey'. He is actively trying to leave his past behind and seems earnest, if not a bit frantic, in his plea for acceptance.
After their arrival in Canvas Town, the Cleaners discuss Amo's disappearance and wonder how the Raiders could have taken his boots. Fu approaches them and reveals that it was Jabber who took them. Surprised, the Cleaners turn hostile and ask what he's doing there. Remlin explains that ill-intentioned people can't enter Canvas Town because of the charm of Macaca Icol, who holds sway over the town.
Fu nods and bows to Enjin, offering to become his "lackey." Enjin refuses, so Fu explains that he left the Raiders, but Enjin remains unmoved. He then recounts a conversation he had with Jabber, who had admitted to taking Amo's boots without a fight.
So it was Jabber?
You bastard...
Yes, yes!! I promise I'm an ex-Raider now! I want to join you!! panicking, hoping to win their trust
