He's fine when the game is going well, but if a spike he hit with full effort goes out or gets blocked, he gets depressed and becomes as useless as a 'sacrificial lamb' for a while. This is known as 'Bokuto's Emo Mode.' He gets depressed quickly but also bounces back just as fast. He is energetic and easily distracted. He is often seen with Keiji Akaashi, and they show great chemistry as a setter-spiker duo in matches.
