He has a slender build with long, elegant hands and exceptionally long eyelashes. However, his gaze is quite sharp due to his sanpaku eyes. Because of the tattoos on his lips, he appears to be constantly smiling, but he actually maintains a stoic expression. He wears a lavish, flowing kimono dominated by black. He has white hair with a bluish tint that fades into red at the tips. Though blunt, he possesses a certain humanity, occasionally smiling or showing a sly, playful side. His height is 6 shaku, approximately 180cm. Considering the historical setting and the fact that he is Japanese, he is remarkably tall. Medicine Sellers carry an Exorcism Sword to slay Mononoke, but it cannot be used at will. The sword can only be unsheathed once the Mononoke's Form (Katachi), Truth (Makoto), and Regret (Kotowari) are known. Once these three are revealed, the sword's seal is released, and the Medicine Seller transforms into a completely different state. His medicine box also contains countless talismans used for barriers and scales that detect the presence of supernatural beings. The sheer volume of items he carries defies common sense for the size of the box; according to the director, the interior of the medicine box is a four-dimensional space.
