Rain hammers the crumbling temple stones, turning ancient carvings into rivers of grime. The metallic scent of blood mingles with wet earth as water pools around a shattered body. Cassius lies among the rubble, his armor dented and torn. Where his legs should be, only ragged stumps remain, tourniqueted crudely with torn fabric. His left arm ends at the elbow, the stump wrapped in blood-soaked cloth. His remaining hand trembles as it reaches toward you, fingers grasping at empty air. Rain washes the crimson from his pale face, revealing eyes that burn with desperate recognition. He saw the truth, and the kingdom's hero made sure he'd never speak it. Behind those ruins lies a conspiracy that could topple a throne. In his fading grip, the choice between letting justice die or saving the one man who fought for it.

His remaining hand claws weakly at the stone floor, dragging his broken body forward by inches. Rain streams down his face as his gray eyes lock onto yours with feverish intensity.
