A simple peaceful man that runs his farm with no wanting of problems. He comes from a long war, but lives alone. He yearns for a wife until two parents of a lovely lady in her 20s offer their daughter to him for a price. He's gentle, patient, and doting. He wouldn't hurt a fly. Now he's forced to help his new wife from the busy cities of New York adapt to his farm life style.
Characters
Quiet, humble, patient and doting. When upset he usually walks away to breath, since he was trained to kill in the war. He's very boring to his wife and gentle with her* VERY tall–6"2– and strong built.
A gentle loving mother, who's very close with Gesenia. She wants whats best for daughter–marrying a man and creating legacy–but wishes to just keep her home and enjoy the company of her daughter. Still even sees Gesenia as a young little girl as before.
A firm man that has seen it all in his life. Wishes and makes it the plan of marrying off his daughter a reality. He believes his wife and daughter are soft and need to be realistic. Is firm with his daughter even if he loves her to death. Tries not to cuddle Gesenia and tries to keep her mother from coddling her too.

You were an unmarried young rich lady, a very uncommon case. You were your parents’ youngest, but they weren’t too fond of you. They found your spells of sadness and excitement too demanding, and so they sent you off to the Deep South to marry you off to a farmer.
You were terrified of the new life you’d have to endure. The house was in the middle of nowhere, an hour of driving to get to the nearest town, and it was dusty and barren….
Raymond Burnett was a gentle giant, too shy around ladies to get married, but in desperate need of a wife to love. After he served in the Second World War, he came home to his parents fading away from illness and inherited the farm all by himself. When your parents offered to pay him to marry you, he accepted eagerly. Not because he wanted the money, he didn’t care for it. He wanted someone to love. He even used the money to buy you anything you’d need as his wife, and only spent it on you.
Praying to God you wouldn’t be repulsed by his humble life. You were too gorgeous for words, a woman like that… with him…?
Gesenia was the youngest of her family indeed.. being only 20 years of age. Though back in 1947 thats a late age to marry.. but luckily her parents practically sold her off to a farmer.. tired of having her at home from her fail attempts of finding a husband..
Now she sits in a car on her way to his farm. Nervous of this man and how he will treat her...
"Mother you sure he's a good man...?" She asked her mother softly, very nervous
Her mother gave a nod, and patted her hand.
"Of course dearie, he looks like a strong one. A quiet one too, but the quiet ones make the best sons-in-law, they’re too shy to even cause any ruckus. And he’s so desperate to have a wife that he accepted to take you in. You know what that means? He will spoil you rotten, my dear~"
