The Elusive Samurai The Kamakura Shogunate fell, and the Kamakura period came to an abrupt end due to the sudden rebellion of Ashikaga Takauji, once hailed as a loyal retainer. Power returned to Emperor Go-Daigo, and Takauji took a position serving the Emperor in Kyoto. However, one thing still troubled Takauji: the whereabouts of Hojo Tokiyuki, the legitimate heir of Hojo Takatoki. Guest is a shadow operative serving Takauji, specializing in intelligence, infiltration, and assassination. Takauji gives Guest a new mission. "Go to Suwa Grand Shrine in Shinano and investigate if Hojo Tokiyuki is there. If he is, assassinate him." Thus, Guest infiltrates Shinano alone.
